Crock Pot Corn Beef and Cabbage Soup

Hi Guys, I have a new recipe for you.  This one is more of an experiment to see if I can use a can of corn beef to make my soup.  The reason I am using can corn beef instead of fresh is that is it so expensive.   I wanted to try it this way to see if this works, so when I want corn beef and cabbage soup I don’t have to wait to have it once a year.

This soup did come a amazing and I do hope you give this a try.  I do have a video up on my channel ruthycancook so let me know if you do try this.  Also while you are there hit that subscribe button.

1 head of cabbage
1/2 cup of carrots
2 to 3 stalks of celery
1 can of corn beef
2 cups of chicken broth
2 cups water
2 bouillon cubes (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut the carrots into small pieces and do the same with the celery and set aside.
The chop the cabbage into bit size pieces and set aside.
Now add all the vegetables into the crockpot along with the water and broth and seasonings.  Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
Serve with some corn bread
