German Cucumber Salad

This is my version of German Cucumber salad.  I used the ingredients I had on hand to make this, and it was delicious.   This is a very fresh, clean and refreshing salad.

Ingredients:

3 heaping Tbsp Mayonnaise               IMG_1556

3 mini cucumbers

1/2 cup of cherry tomatoes chopped

1 tsp dill

1/4 onion sliced very thin

salt and pepper to taste

Step:

Slice the mini cucumbers and set aside.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and quarters if needed and add them to the bowl with the cucumbers

Thinly slice the 1/4 of onion and put into the bowl with the cucumbers and tomatoes.

Sauce:

In a small bowl mix together the mayonnaise and dill.

In a signal serving bowl put the cucumber mix and about a teaspoon of the dill and mayonnaise mix.  Stir until well combine.  Taste for salt and pepper.

Note:  Unless serving salad right away don’t add the sauce to the vegetable mixture.  The sauce become watery.
