Pasta with Spinach and Italian Sausage

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box of pasta
  • 1 to 2 lbs spicy Italian sausage
  • 1 Medium onion chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tbs dried basil
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with liquid
  • 1 bag baby spinach
  • parmesan cheese for topping
  • 1 tbs oil if needed

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Cook Italian sausage until no longer pink, but before meat is completely cooked, put in the onions and garlic stir and cook until meat is done. Now add in basil, broth and diced tomatoes and give it a good stir. Cook over medium heat until liquid is slightly reduced about 5 minutes. Add in the spinach add cook with lid on for 5 minutes until spinach is tender. Add in pasta mix well. Give is a taste for salt. Now serve with parmesan sprinkled on top.
