Crockpot Beef Stew

This is a very versatile recipe and easy to make. Most of the ingredients you probably already have on hand. You can adjust the seasonings and vegetables to fit your family’s preferences.

This is also an easy meal to prepare. In just 15 to 20 minutes you will have this cooking in the crockpot. I like using kitchen gadgets to help me with any chopping I do and it saves me a lot of time.

This is a complete meal and a family favorite.

Crockpot Beef Stew

Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 7 hours 15 minutes

Equipment

  • Crockpot

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • in a 6 quart crockpot add in the beef stew meat along with water bouillon cube and broth. Give is a stir, then add in the remaining ingredients potatoes, carrots, celery, tomato paste and seasonings. Give it another stir and let it cook for about 6 to 8 hours on low are 4 to 6 on high.
    Serve with cornbread or bread and butter

Notes

With remaining tomato paste I put it in a small zip lock bag and froze it for next time.
