Money Saving Tip

This is something that I struggled with for a long time, and that is to cook more dinners rather than eating out.   For years I lost the fight eating out, but not anymore.

We use to eat out at least 4 times a week. Now for a family of four that adds up pretty quickly. On average a fast food dinner for us would be $35.00.

This breaks down to $35.00 x 4 +$140.00 a week. This was done for a very long time so in a year we spent $1,680.00.

Some life changes happened in our lives that was for the best, by that we no longer eat out 4 times a week. On average now we may eat out twice a month and this is planned.   Not only was eating out costly but it was not good for our health.   Learning from past mistakes and turning those mistakes around really changed my family. We now eat better and feel better.

Cooking at home isn’t hard, even if you are popping frozen food into the oven that is still cheaper than fast food. I have learned to copycat some recipes so now my family no longer craves these from the restaurant.   I know you can do this too and you will feel better about it and be a little healthier.

I just wanted to share this tip with you and in hopes it may encourage you to save some money like I am doing.

I'm a wife, mom, with a full time job. I love to cook, write and photography. These are my pasions in life. With a full time job my passions tend to get put on the back burner, but I am trying to change that. I wanted to start a blog so I can bring out all of my passions in one place.
