Hi guys, this recipe comes from my youngest daughter Eve. She put this recipe together using what she had in her pantry and fridge. Being in college she had become very creative in the kitchen. As she tells me this recipe was inspired to due low funds and lack of room in fridge. All of which a college student faces. She sent this to me and told me I needed to put this on my website, so that is what I am doing.
This recipe did not take many ingredients and was very easy to make. I am very pleased that my daughter isn’t just eating Ramen soups everyday,. She is making exciting new recipes that are simple, exciting and delicious. I hope you give this a try and let me know what you think. This is very good and mom approved lol.
Ingredients for sauce
1 can of tomato sauce
1 medium onion
1/2 of minced garlic
1/2 cup of water
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Step:
Cook onions until translucent, add garlic and saute for another minute. Add can of tomato sauce. Add the water and bouillon cube. Once the cube is dissolved, add the Italian seasoning and cook for another 2 minutes. Then turn off heat.
Necessity is the mother of invention. And simple is good. So many times I have thrown a meal together from what I have had in the fridge and my husband says, “This is good we need to have this again.” Oops. Didn’t really pay attention. So, now, I actually try to pay attention. But that kind of takes away from the fun of being in the moment and just throwing something together. Yay for Eve!
